1. The service
Inkhost is a hosted blogging platform. You create a blog, write posts, and we publish them at an address you choose. We may add, change or remove features as the product develops; we will not remove something you depend on without notice where we can avoid it.
2. Your account
You must give accurate registration details and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done with an API key you have issued. Tell us at hello@inkhost.app if you believe it has been compromised.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and if you are signing up for an organisation you must be authorised to bind it.
3. Your content stays yours
You keep every right you have in the posts, images and other material you put on Inkhost. We claim no ownership of it.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, and publicly display your content, for one purpose only: operating the service and serving your blog to your readers. That licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for backups that are overwritten on their normal cycle.
You confirm that you have the rights to what you publish and that it does not infringe anyone else’s.
4. Acceptable use
Your use of Inkhost is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms. It matters more here than on most platforms, because blogs are served from our domains and newsletters go out over shared sending infrastructure, so one abusive blog damages everyone else’s deliverability.
5. AI features
Inkhost can draft, rewrite and illustrate posts using third-party AI services. Anything it produces is a suggestion. You are the publisher: check it for accuracy, originality and legal compliance before it goes out. Generated text lands in a review state precisely so that check can happen.
We do not warrant that AI output is accurate, original or fit for any purpose, and we are not liable for what you choose to publish. Rights in output are governed by the terms of the provider that produced it; you are responsible for confirming you may use it as you intend.
6. Fees
Inkhost is currently provided free of charge during early access. There is no billing system and we do not take payment card details. If we introduce paid plans we will give existing account holders reasonable notice before any charge applies, and you may close your account instead.
7. Third-party services and domains
Some features depend on services you connect or control: your own email provider account, your DNS records, your reverse proxy. You are responsible for those, for the accounts you hold with them, and for their costs. We are not liable for their failures.
8. Availability
We work to keep Inkhost running but we do not offer a service level agreement, and the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Maintenance, provider outages and faults will sometimes interrupt it. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Inkhost and delete your blogs at any time.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, that puts the service or other users at risk, or where we are legally required to. Except where the breach is serious or urgent we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
On termination we delete your content after a short grace period. Export what you need before you close the account.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill, or lost or corrupted data.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims arising in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in that period, or five thousand rupees.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from content you publish through Inkhost or from your breach of these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and for material changes we will email account holders. If you keep using Inkhost after a change takes effect, you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [CITY — TO BE COMPLETED] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them.
